Y Gelli has been established for over 20 years, and is situated in its own extensive grounds on the edge of Llanfairfechan, an unspoiled Victorian seaside town on the North Wales coast.
The victorian village of Llanfairfechan is conveniently situated between the university city of Bangor and the medieval town of Conwy in a picturesque setting between mountains and sea. The village has a small bustling community with a variety of shops and offers a range of activities and amenities including; European blue flag beach, nine hole golf course, bowling and croquette lawn, tennis courts, pony trekking, mountain bike trails, cycle track, bird watching and mountaineering, fishing trips, yachting, children's play area and skate park, pubs and restaurants, regular local bus services and a railway station on the main line to Chester and Holyhead.
Llanfairfechan is within close proximity of the A55 Expressway, which is now the gateway into Snowdonia, Anglesey and the port of Holyhead for easy access to Ireland.
Y Gelli Bed and Breakfast North Wales is an ideal base for activity holidays...
Enjoy walking in the surrounding scenic hills or, for the more energetic, tackle Snowdonia and the 14 peaks.

For families:
Llanfairfechan grew up as a seaside resort, and it has a wonderful beach and promenade, with two excellent cafés where you can get everything from a packet of crisps to a full sit-down meal. There are two childrens’ playgrounds, one with a paddling pool, and the other with new skateboard ramps.
There are several pubs, cafés (take away and eat in) and a restaurant in the town. For those who prefer to self-cater, there are two supermarkets to buy your provisions from - no need to stock up before you travel! There is also a bank (HSBC), a library and a Post Office in the town.

Llanfairfechan is an excellent centre for those who enjoy walking, with walks to suit all ages and abilities. For golfers , there is a nine-hole course and a clubhouse to welcome visitors to the town, with other clubs nearby.

For culture-vultures:
North Wales is steeped in history and culture, and Llanfairfechan is ideally placed to visit many interesting places. We are central to an area which includes many castles - the World Heritage sites of Caernarfon, Beaumaris and Conwy, Conwy Castle plus Dolbadarn & Dolwyddelan, all of which can be reached with half an hour. Click here for more information on all of these historic castles...
