Maelgwyn House is ideally situated for exploring Snowdonia National Park, the Rhinog Mountains and the Llyn Peninsula, Porthmadog and Portmeirion.

We offer a choice of king size rooms and twin rooms. All rooms are en-suite and have colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities. All of our rooms have recently been refurbished to a high standard. The two rooms at the front of the house offer spectacular views across Tremadog Bay. The other rooms have views across the garden and to the surrounding hills.

Maelgwyn House was originally built as a manse for the Reverend David Davis in 1907 who had bought the land from the Right Honorable Henry Stormont, Earl of Winchilsea for £200.0.0 .

Converted to a Boarding School in the late 1930's it remained as such until 1947 when it became, once again, a private dwelling.
