The Manor Hotel in West Bexington, Dorset is situated 400m from the sea overlooking one of the Jurassic Coast's most famous landmarks, Chesil Beach. The Manor Hotel is located right on Dorset's Jurassic Coast not far from Bridport, Dorchester and Weymouth.

The Manor Hotel is an intimate Dorset Country House Hotel which as its name suggests is an ancient manor house dating back to the sixteenth century. Well mellowed with age, The Manor Hotel offers a wonderful combination of flagstone floors, woodburning stoves, Jacobean oak panelling, welcoming lounges & comfortable en-suite bedrooms.

 

Bridport Attractions

 
Abbotsbury Swannery
For over 600 years this colony of friendly mute swans has made its home at the Abbotsbury Sanctuary. Sheltered by the famous Chesil Beach, this ancient and special site provides protection for hundreds of nesting swans and their broods.

Abbotsbury Sub tropical Gardens
A mixture of formal and informal, with charming walled garden walks and spectacular woodland valley views.

Abbotsbury Children's Farm
The ancient Tithe Barn site is home to a host of friendly farm animals. Many can be stroked and fed at regular times throughout the day. This is a wonderful place for the under 11's.

Jurassic Coast, World Heritage Site
Take a walk through time by exploring the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site - 185 million years in 95 miles of coastline.

Chesil Beach & The Fleet
Chesil Bank consists of a 17 mile bank of pebbles stretching from West Bay to Portland.

Weymouth
Weymouth has so much to offer the visitor from it's heritage heartland where historical buildings, a restored Victorian Fort, pubs, restaurants, visitor attractions and museums merge with the new town centre shopping complex, 10 pin bowling and 9 screen multiplex cinema.

From the A35 Dorchester to Bridport Road turn off towards the coast at Winterbourne Abbas and follow the signs to Portesham.

Turn right at the junction with the Weymouth Road (B3157)and head for Abbotsbury and Bridport.

As the road climbs from Abbotsbury , the dramatic coast will come into view, stretching from the St Aldhem's head to the the east across to Start Point in Devon.

Looking down towards the sea, you may be able to make out our roof and grounds. When you reach the Bull Inn at Swyre turn left and follow the lane down to the sea. We are in the hamlet of West Bexington a mere 400 yards from the beach.
