In 1997 in need of loving care the house was purchased by Barry & Rowena Gittoes with a vision of creating a luxury Country House Hotel offering top quality bed and breakfast guest accommodation.

Wartling Place - From London take A22, in the direction of Eastbourne at Boship Services roundabout. Take the exit A271 to Horsebridge, Herstmonceux and Bexhill. Thru Herstmonceux and turn right after Windmill Hill to Herstmonceux Castle, Wartling & Pevensey. Wartling Place will be found on the right just after the Lamb Inn.
From Hastings or Brighton take the A27 (A259). At Pevensey roundabout (Esso Services and Little Chef) take1st exit to Wartling, Herstmonceux and Boreham Street . On reaching Wartling, Wartling Place is on the left immediately opposite the Church.
