We have a residents bar. Our BNB is a local building of historic interest. We accept payment in cash. Our establishment is fitted with central heating throughout. All or some rooms have ensuite facilities. We have fishing opportunities nearby.

Bed and Breakfast Description

 

In October 2000 when Margaret and Jim Hodge took over The Mill Inn, they could see the potential to create something special. Since then, the work has been tireless to create an environment in which staff can thrive, and customers can be sure to receive quality homemade Cumbrian food, served in a warm environment, with customer service second to none.

Downstairs we have a lounge bar with snug, games room with pool table and dartboard, and a no-smoking dining room where breakfast & evening meals are served. In summer you can relax in our beer garden beside the river, and in winter you can warm yourself by the open log fire.

We have six bedrooms, five of which are en-suite and one with toilet facilities. All rooms are designated no smoking, and children and dogs are welcome.

Lying at the base of Souther Fell and Blencathra in the tranquil and unspoilt village of Mungrisdale, The Mill Inn provides the perfect setting for your visit to Cumbria. With the Glenderamakin River flowing below and the Lakeland fells above, you are sure to appreciate the striking and pleasant location of our 16th Century Coaching Inn.

Leave the M6 at Junction 40, and follow the signs for Keswick for 10
miles, then turn right, heading for Mungrisedale. When you enter
Mungrisedale, turn left over the bridge, and you will see The Mill Inn
in front of you.
