The Hotel Continental is a 14 Room Budget Boutique Hotel on the seafront of Dovercourt Bay, Harwich which has a Blue flag beach.
The locus is only five minutes drive from Harwich International Port and ferry terminal.
Many of the rooms have uninterrupted views of the North Sea, which in this area is very busy with shipping activity. All rooms are en-suite and are complete with the usual useful things - teletext tv's, radios, telephones, modem points, tea and coffee, hairdryers, irons and some have safes. We also offer free WiFi connection.
We have a fully licensed, well stocked bar offering brewery-conditioned real ales, premium lagers, wines, spirits, liqueurs and soft drinks.
Our restaurant serves food for all tastes cooked to order. We make extensive use of organic produce. We have recently appointed a highly qualified chef who is proving very popular. He makes everything on the premises and makes the most delectable stocks and sauces.
The proprietors themselves have been vegatarians for 30 years, so please mention if you are a vegetarian as we can offer a good choice of menu options.
All rooms are en-suite with showers. Room 7 has an additional air bath. Room 5 has a whirlpool bath. The majority have bidets. Tea/coffee facilities, hair dryers, colour teletext televisions are standard. Ironing facilities are being fitted to all rooms. |
