Bed and Breakfast Description

The Fountain hotel is an atmospheric 16th century coaching inn, with two bars, a restaurant and a beautiful courtyard garden. Excellent food can be eaten either in the bar, restaurant or even the garden in the summer.

We use quality local produce accompanied by a fine selection of ales. All six of our letting rooms are en-suite and very comfortable. Each has tea and coffee making facilities and a colour TV.

Local Attractions
Whilst staying here at The Fountain Hotel why not try some of the following?
Visit Okehampton Castle, the remains of the largest castle in Devon.

Visit the Museum of Dartmoor life, a visit to the museum will give you a glimpse of what life was like 1000 years ago.

Take a walk around Simmons park, and see some of the wonderful scenery that Okehampton has to offer.
 

B&B Location
Coming from the Exeter direction:

Follow signs for Okehampton on the A30, turn off at the BP garage which is on your left, this will be signposted for Okehampton.
Turn right at the junction once you have left the A30. Follow this road into Okehampton. At the second set of traffic lights (excluding pelican crossings) turn left on to Mill Road, now take the first right which takes you into a pay and display car park.
Our rear entrance is right in front of you just before you enter the actual pay and display car park. This small gravel track will lead you into our own car park. From here walk down through the garden and into the bar to check in.

Coming from the Launceston direction:

Follow signs for Okehampton on the A30. Turn off at the first junction after Sourton Cross, this will take you onto Tavistock Road.
Again follow the signs to Okehampton, this road will take you into the centre of Okehampton.
Follow the road straight through Okehampton and you will see the Hotel on your right hand side. Carry on past the hotel and turn right at the traffic lights just past the hotel.
Now take the first right which takes you into a pay and display car park.
