Bed and Breakfast Description

A warm welcome awaits you at the Durdans, an imposing Victorian house sitting in grounds of over two acres, and located on the edge of the picturesque seaside village of Mundesley. Set on the North Norfolk heritage coast some 7 miles south of Cromer the village is also on the edge of a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.

The house, reached by a tree-lined drive, sits back from the road in a quiet and peaceful setting. To the rear the lawns slope down to Mundesley Beck flowing along the northern edge of the gardens with views over open fields and the village golf club.

Andrew and Caroline have recently refurbished the property with all bedrooms, ensuites and public rooms recently decorated and bedrooms newly furnished. The large entrance hall is light and airy with open galleried landings above. Off the hall is the dining room where breakfast is served and next door is the large and relaxing guest sitting room. Both rooms have long picture windows with views to the west over the sunken lawn.

They have 7 bedrooms which are available for you to stay in. They all have lovely views towards different points of the compass.

The dining room is light and fresh with natural wood floor complemented by a harvest gold colour palette. The windows and french doors face to the West across the sunken lawn.

The guest sitting room is large and relaxing. It is equipped with a wide-screen television but with a large window seat to the West it is the perfect place to catch up on some reading or to just watch the sun going down.

B&B Location

From Norwich, take the B1150 (signposted to North Walsham) through Coltishall to North Walsham. At the first set of traffic lights in North Walsham (just after the railway bridge) turn left onto the A149 for 400 yards until the next traffic lights.

At the next set of lights continue straight ahead on the B1145 signposted to Mundesley (do not take the left turn which is the A149 to Cromer). Follow the (rather winding!!) road for 5 miles through Swafield and Knapton towards Mundesley.

On the outskirts of Mundesley, turn left and then immediately left again. You are now on Trunch Road heading away from Mundesley. Pass the Fire Station and School on your right hand side and after 400 yards you will see on the right hand side a sign for The Durdans set behind a white picket fence.

Turn right into the drive which leads up to The Durdans.

Nearest Airport: Norwich  (22  Miles)
