Description

Talybont Bed and Breakfast is
located in the picturesque village of Talybont, on the bank of the river Ysgethin.

Set in beautiful mature gardens, with a large lawned area, there are two separate seating areas (ideal for the evening glass of wine), where guests can sit back and relax to the soothing sound of the river.

Canol-y-Coed has been recently renovated to provide spacious ensuite guest bedrooms. all rooms have private bathrooms, Tv with DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities, radio alarm clocks and hairdryers.

There is a double room downstairs and twin and family rooms upstairs.

Children are welcome and a high chair and cot are available.

We are well known for our "breakfast at Talybont". It will set you up for a hard day's sightseeing.

Local Attractions
This area of Wales has many tourist attractions: the castles of Harlech, Criccieth and Caernarfon, slate and copper mines, narrow gauge railways, Fairbourne and Barmouth Steam Railway and Ferry. Fishing: fly and course, inland lakes and the estuaries of Mawddach and Dovey. Portmeirion village and Bodnant Gardens to mention a few.



There are also the flat, sandy beaches of Dyffryn Ardudwy and Harlech, plenty of woodland and hillside walks, picturesque cycle paths, horse riding and a choice of local golf courses..

The seaside town of Barmouth, approximately 3 miles away, offers a beautiful picturesque harbour, sandy beach and a selection of shops, bars and restaurants.

Coastal and mountain walks available nearby.
 

Location
The small village of talybont is fund 3 miles north of Barmouth and 5 miles south of Harlech on the A496.

From Barmouth - on entering Talybont, the turning for Canol-y-Coed is opposite the Post Office. Follow the road Tony's restaurant and we are on the left.

From Harlech - on entering Talybont, drive through the village. The entrance to Canol-y-Coed is opposite the Post Office, before the bridge.
