Description

Lower Yelland Farm was a previous winner of The Golden Achievement Award of Excellence for Devon retreat of the year.

The farmhouse was built in 1658 and was modernised to a high standard in 2000. All rooms are en-suite, with colour TV and tea making facilities. There is a large lounge with TV, board games and Library. Ample parking is available in a private courtyard.

The accommodation in more detail comprises Double or Twin bedded rooms with ensuite shower, colour TV and tea/coffee facilities, or (for the ultimate in romance and luxury) we can offer a four Poster with en suite bath & shower, colour TV and tea/coffee facilities.

Breakfast includes homemade bread, jam and marmalade and free range eggs from our rescue chickens.

Local Attractions
The farm is an ideal centre for your Holiday. There are sandy beaches at Westward Ho!, Instow, Saunton, Croyde Putsborough and Woolacombe.

It is within easy reach of Exmoor and Dartmoor, the rugged beauty of Hartland, with its Abbey, the famous cobbled streets of Clovelly, the unique water-powered cliff railway linking Lynton and :Lynmouth, and a boat trip to Lundy island.

In inclement weather you can visit the world renowned Dartington Crystal Factory at Torrington, museums at Barnstaple and Appledore, and an art gallery at Bideford. Barnstaple and Bideford both have weekly Pannier and Craft markets. There is also a large Leisure centre at Barnstaple, with an indoor swimming pool, and several theatres and cinemas locally. For children there are a large number of all weather attractions including the award winning Big Sheep and the Milky Way.
 

Location
As you approach Barnstaple on the A361 you come to a roundabout. Take the 1st exit A39 Bideford. At the next roundabout go straight on. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit to Bickington. Go over 2 mini roundabouts and at the 3rd roundabout take the 1st exit the B3233. Go through Bickington and Fremington, and we are the 1st turning on the right out of the village (about 1 mile).

Nearest Railway Station: Barnstaple  (15  Minutes Drive)
