Bed and Breakfast Description

Our guest house was built of Cumbrian slate in a traditional Lakeland style in about 1890 and is situated in quiet Eskin Street just a few minutes walk away from Keswick town centre.

We have 5 guest bedrooms comprising of 2 double en-suite rooms, 2 twin en-suite rooms and 1 standard single bedroom with its own separate shower and bathroom. All our bedrooms are named after puppies we have walked for Guide Dogs For The Blind (UK).

For a typical breakfast, you can choose from our selection of cereals, yoghourt or fresh fruit.
Then for your cooked breakfast you can choose from a vegetarian or traditional style sausage, bacon and eggs. Both are supplied with as much tea or coffee as you can drink. All this is rounded off with toast made with our home made bread. We do take dogs and careful owners by arrangement. Dogs will not be left unattended in the bedrooms.

Local Attractions
Our bed and breakfast accommodation is ideally situated for the Theatre By The Lake and Derwentwater, both are about 12 minutes walk from our front door. You can start many of the walks around the hills from our accommodation, while leaving your car parked outside our house.
 

B&B Location
Take the A66 at Junction 40 and head west to Keswick, distance approx 21 miles.
Take the first turn off for the A591, Windermere and Keswick. After a short distance you will come to a main junction for Windermere A591 and Kesiwck
The word KESWICK is made with plants, turn right here.
Travel down the hill past The TWA DOGS pub on your left.
Continue past a filling station, under old railway bridge which is part of the Keswick Railway Walk.
Continue past fire and ambulance stations.
After approx a quarter of a mile look out for The Conservative Club on the left, take the left turn into Greta Street.
Look out for a taxi rank on your right.
Continue over at this next junction and immediately on your right there is a launderette.
You are now on Eskin Street. Look out for our sign a short distance down on the right hand side of the street.
It is free onside road parking but during busy times you may have to park a short distance away from Larry's Lodge.
