Lakeside Country House is an elegant Edwardian property offering upmarket guest house accommodation and has recently won an RAC 5 Diamond Award for hospitality, location and cuisine.
Our guest house accommodation is ideally situated on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake with superb views of the Skiddaw mountain range; yet just a five minute drive away are Keswick and Cockermouth Town - the birthplace of William Wordsworth.

We offer an excellent breakfast selection including home made products. The chef's speciality is hte Cumbrian Breakfast. Ideal for walkers requiring plenty of sustainance! The guest house caters well for vegetarians and there are plenty of menu suggestions for those with smaller appetities too!

Location
The most direct route to Lakeside Country House is from Junction 40 of the M6 and taking the A66 to Keswick. Bypassing Keswick itself and continue on the A66 for 8 miles with Bassenthwaite Lake on your right.

400 metres after the dual carriageway prepare to turn right at the sign for the Castle Inn, Dubwath and Embleton onto the B5291 and turn right again and you will notice or sign in front of you.
