The house is set in 4 acres of beautiful gardens and with additional grounds of 26 acres of paddocks and woods. The gardens have extensive lawns and many fine specimen trees including Cedar, Wellingtonia, Beech, Oak, Lime, Hornbeam, Chestnut, Magnolia and Wisteria, together with Rhododendrons, and in the spring, banks of daffodils and bluebells.
Available to guests is a large drawing room, with log fires when necessary. There is a terrace with garden furniture and a hard tennis court (racquets and balls provided).
Holmwood is open all year for Bed and Breakfast, and many excellent restaurants and pubs serve meals nearby.
Bedroom accommodation consists of 2 twin bedded rooms, 2 double bedded rooms, one with a four poster and 1 single four poster room. All bedrooms are centrally heated and have bathroms en-suite with new power showers. All are large and are furnished differently, mainly with antique and period furniture.
