"Hamilton House" is a delightful Victorian Town-house Bed and Breakfast. Centrally located, just 5 minutes by car to Continental and Isle of Wight Ferry-ports, Historic Ships, University, Guildhall, City Centres, Train/Coach Stations, Millennium Harbour with Gunwharf Quays / Spinnaker Tower and all the Tourist Attractions/Museums that Portsmouth, and its Seaside resort of Southsea, has to offer. Buses run to all parts of the City from nearby Come and stay in our bright modern bedrooms, all are colour co-ordinated, with FREE WIFI remote control colour TVs, clocks, hairdryers, central heating/cooler fans and generous tea & coffee courtesy trays. Ensuite Rooms have their own shower/toilets and Family Units share these facilities between the 2 rooms Relax in the spacious, comfortable TV lounge, where there is a host of Tourist Information brochures to browse through, together with a wide selection of books and games for your use. Choose from Full English, Vegetarian or Continental breakfast and enjoy your choice, freshly prepared and served by your resident Chef/Proprietress in the lovely Spanish Style Dining Room. Special Diets catered for Continental Breakfast is available from 6.00am for early Ferry Passengers.
Port is 1.6 miles from Hamilton House and takes approx. 5 minutes For mid-day or evening meals, there are a wide variety of Restaurants, Cafes and Pubs in the City, some just 5 minutes walk from the house, some serve English food and there are also many Foreign Restaurants who cater for all tastes. We are an excellent touring base for Southern England, being on the main routes for places such as London, Winchester, Southampton, Stonehenge, New Forest, Brighton and Chichester etc.There are 2 fast Trains to London each hour

Gunwharf Quays, the Boardwalk Waterfront, boasting many designer outlet shops, restaurants, bars and a 14 screen multiplex cinema.
Spinnaker Tower is in Gunwharf and gives magnificent views all over the Solent and Portsmouth
The D-Day Museum, Southsea Castle, Sea-Life Centre and the Royal Marines Museum are just some of the places to visit along Southsea Sea Front.
Charles Dickens Birthplace, City Museums, Portsmouth Cathedral and numerous Churches are at various points around the city.
The main shopping centres are within easy walking distance or 5 minutes by buses, which run to all parts of the city from nearby.

BY CAR From M27, at Junction 12, come into Portsmouth on the M275, (Marked Portsmouth West) go under or over the flyover as you pass the Continental Ferryport and at the end of the Dual Carriageway there is a roundabout, just after the sign for Charles Dickens Birthplace.
Take the 1st exit off this roundabout and follow the road round to the right and then the left, past the church. Follow this road, Holbrook Road, across 3 roundabouts (1/2 mile) into Victoria Road North.
Hamilton House is on the 2nd block on the right hand side.
BY TRAIN - alight at Portsmouth and Southsea Station and get a taxi to us initially OR
By COACH - come into Portsmouth and alight at the HARD INTERCHANGE. Then either get a taxi to us or catch NO 17 bus which stops opposite the house.
By FERRY Many ferries come to Portsmouth from FRANCE, SPAIN AND JERSEY/GUERNSEY
Alight as a foot passenger and get a taxi to us from the other end of the Terminal
If you are in a car then come out of the ferryport in the RIGHT HAND LANE marked City Centre. Take the 4th exit off the big roundabout and at the end of the Dual Carriageway there is a roundabout, just after the sign for Charles Dickens Birthplace.
