Enjoy the charm and character of our 17th century stone farmhouse standing in one and a half acres of landscaped gardens and meadow amidst the beautiful local scenery.
Ideally placed for visiting local tourist attractions such as Hadrian's Wall, Durham Cathedral, Beamish Museum and the Northumberland coastline, East Byermoor is set in a superb rural location, overlooking Whickham Golf Course and the Gibside Estate, once home to the Bowes-Lyon family.
All this yet only minutes away from the famous MetroCentre, Newcastle's city nightlife, sport stadiums, cultural/music venues and the region's centres of commerce.
Once part of the Gibside Estate, East Byermoor has been converted into a guesthouse which retains all of its original character whilst providing all the comforts & facilities required by the discerning traveller.
There are two double bedrooms and two twin, all with en-suite facilities
En suite facilities for all bedrooms Tea/Coffee making facilities and hospitality tray, TVs, Shaver sockets, Hair dryers, Radio alarm clocks. For the benefit of all our guests, East Byermoor is a non-smoking establishment. |

From the South, Follow A1 past Angel of the North, skirting Team Valley Trading Estate on the right hand side. Take next turning A692, signposted Whickham. Turn left at the top of slip road up the hill to mini roundabout. Bear left and follow signs to Sunniside (do not turn right to Whickham). Continue through Streetgate, Sunniside, Marley Hill and Byermoor. Look out for the Pack Horse pub. Turn right in front of the pub onto Fellside Road. We are the first building on right hand side, approximately 1 mile from the turning.
From the North Follow A1 past large B&Q on the left, you are now crossing the Tyne. At the next exit, follow signs to Whickham. Past a car showroom on the left then a petrol station on the right. At the next roundabout turn left, get into the right hand lane and take a right at the traffic lights up the hill, at the top of the hill take a right turn at the traffic lights. You are now on Fellside Road. Continue on this road out of Whickham village, pass Whickham Golf Club on the right at the bottom of the hill, and the Woodmans Arms pub on the left at the top. Continue past the farm on the left and we are the next turning on the left
