Description

Birchwood Guest House is a family run Bed & Breakfast owned and operated by Heather and Ken Cottrell in a friendly and informal style. The Guest House was built in 1904, this Edwardian house has lovely rooms which have recently been re-decorated. Birchwood Guest House is located in the heart of Portsmouth & Southsea and is close to the sea front and award winning gardens.

Portsmouth & Southsea are becoming increasingly popular with tourists from both home and abroad and is now renowned as a "world class" waterfront. Portsmouth is a famous and historic naval port with the added benefit of also having a seaside resort of Southsea. With so many attractions in the Portsmouth & Southsea area we hope that this will encourage you to stay with us for either a short break or perhaps even longer.
Birchwood has seven ensuite bedrooms. Each room is unique, all are comfortable and scrupulously clean. Every room is provided with toiletries, hostess tray, a radio alarm, hair dryer, and colour television with remote control. Some rooms have the addition of a DVD player.

Birchwood is a totally non-smoking establishment and also has free WiFi access. The Guest Lounge has cable TV and DVD player.

Location
From the M27 or A27 take the M275 into Portsmouth, passing the Continental Ferry Port on the right. At the first roundabout take the first left into Church Street. and follow the road round to a second roundabout, go straight over into Holbrook Road, over the next roundabout, passing a large ASDA supermarket on the left, at the next roundabout take second exit into Victoria Road North and follow the road to a set of traffic lights. Go straight on and take the second left into Albert Road, passing the Kings Theatre on the right, continue to a set of lights and turn right into Waverley Road. Birchwood is a few hundred metres on the left opposite a small park.
