Description

Beaufort Lodge is a conveniently located Norwich guest house within easy walking distance (10 minutes) of the city centre with its many attractions and is no more than 5 minutes by car to the University of East Anglia, the Sainsbury Centre, the John Innes Institute, the BUPA Nuffield hospital and the new Norwich and Norfolk Hospital.


Within a five minute walk there are a number of restaurants for evening dinner ranging from two pubs both with restaurant areas, an extremely pleasant pasta house and an excellent hotel which has the AA Red Rosette award for it's cuisine. In the City itself every possible type of restaurant can be found and we keep a selection of menus for guests to browse through before deciding where to dine.

In our light and airy breakfast room where you will be served at separate tables you will be offered a selection of starters from the side table followed by breakfast of your choice which is cooked to order.

A vegetarian choice is always available and if you have any special dietary needs or other special requests we will be happy to cater for these if you tell us about them when making your reservation.

Local Attractions
The Cathedral- One of the finest and most beautiful Norman Cathedrals in England, it is located at the heart of this vibrant and bustling City.

The Forum - the most spectacular new building in Norwich! Built to replace the library which burnt down some years ago this ultra modern building now houses not just the library but has an enlarged tourist board office, first floor restaurant and a visitor centre where a special feature, "Origins", takes you on a 2000 year journey through time. Contrast the architecture between The Forum and that of the ancient church of St.Peter Mancroft just a hundred yards away. It could hardly be greater!. . Allow time to visit both.

Elm Hill - a carefully preserved cobbled medieval street where you will find antiques and collectables in abundance.

The Royal Arcade - A favourite haunt for visitors with its variety of independent traders and also where the world famous Colmans mustard shop is to be found. Fifteen different varieties to choose from………
