Originally built as a farmstead in 1747, this four star Inn and restaurant features a cosy, wood burning stove, sunny walled beer-garden, conservatory, excellent bar meals and a la carte menus (including vegetarian) using fresh, local produce, good choice of wines and a wide range of cask and bottle conditioned beers from local micro-breweries.
A friendly, family run hotel, it has 17 en-suite bedrooms, including ground floor rooms with disabled access, and is ideally placed for exploring Hadrian’s Wall, Kielder and Border Reiver country, whether by car, cycle or on foot.
Converted from an 18th Century farmstead, this family run, four-star Inn provides a warm welcome to residents and non-residents alike, with a traditional character and friendly atmosphere combining to make a memorable stay.
Bedrooms have been carefully modernised to provide comfortable accommodation, all rooms are en-suite and have colour television, DVD, ironing boards and hairdryer. We have four rooms specifically for visitors with disabilities on the ground floor and close to parking spaces.
The traditional Northumbrian bar features a cosy wood burning stove and a selection of regional ales, both bottled and cask (4 always available), keg beers and and an extensive list of over 20 wines.
Bar meals, hot and cold sandwiches and selections from our blackboard menu are available throughout the day. Packed lunches are available for residents. During summer (weather permitting!) we have a large, walled beer garden. |
